Yashasvi Women Education And Skill Development Scholarship 2025
The Yashasvi Women Education and Skill Development Scheme, initiated by the JSP Foundation, aims to support higher and vocational education for girl children and women from poor and underprivileged sections. This program is designed to address the financial barriers that often prevent girls from pursuing their educational aspirations, enabling them to become self-reliant and empowered. The program focuses on providing financial assistance to women and girl children from Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand, helping them complete their studies or pursue further education and skill development for self-reliance.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents:
  • ID Proof (Aadhaar, Passport, etc.)
  • Completed application form in the prescribed format.
  • Mark sheets of previous exams.
  • Residential proof and certificate from the block/district level.
  • Bonafide certificate from the school/college, along with the fee structure.
  • Annual family income certificate from the appropriate authority.
  • Self-declaration regarding non-receipt of other scholarships, endorsed by concerned authorities.

    Eligibility Criteria
    Applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Applicants must be Indian citizens.
  • This is only female candidates are eligible.
  • The scholarship is open to candidates from all categories.
  • Residents of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, or Jharkhand only are eligible.
  • Family income should not exceed Rs. 2 lakh per annum (certified by the appropriate authority).
  • Applicants should be between 16 to 30 years.
    Educational Qualifications:
  • Skilling Courses: Minimum Class 10th completion.
  • Professional & Higher Education Courses: Minimum completion of +2 (higher secondary).
  • Post-Graduation Courses: Must have completed Graduation.
    Proposed Courses:
  • Skill Development Courses (e.g., Beautician, Hair Stylist, Makeup Therapist, Digital Marketing, Nursing Care, etc.)
  • Minimum requirement: 60% marks in Class 10th Board Examination.
  • Higher Education (e.g., +2 courses in Arts, Science, Commerce)
  • Minimum requirement: 65% in Class 10th Board, 55% in Class 12th Exams.
    Post-Graduation/Allied Higher Courses:
  • Minimum requirement: 55% in the last qualifying examination and an admission letter from a recognized institution.
    Professional Courses (Medical, Engineering, Law, etc.):
  • Must have cleared the relevant entrance exam and secured admission from a recognized institution.

    Selection Criteria
  • Applications will be scrutinized based on the eligibility criteria defined by JSP Foundation.
  • An Expert Committee will assess applications on merit, focusing on academic performance and income levels.
  • Candidates receiving other scholarships or financial aid are ineligible.
    • General Conditions
  • Only one course per candidate is allowed.
  • The scholarship scheme is non-recurring, i.e., it cannot be availed more than once by the same candidate.
  • The number of beneficiaries will be determined by the JSP Foundation.
  • Permanent residency in the specified locations (Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand) is mandatory.
  • All required documents must be submitted for verification to be considered eligible.
