Azim Premji Fresh Scholarship 2026 27
The Azim Premji Scholarship is a part of the Azim Premji Foundation’s commitment to improving the quality and equity of education in India. The initiative seeks to support girl students from disadvantaged background to pursue college education through an annual scholarship of INR 30,000 awarded for the full duration of their first undergraduate degree or diploma course.
So far, the Scholarship has supported 1.95 lakh girls, and this number is expected to grow significantly in the coming years. Our intention is to award this Scholarship to 5 lakh girls each year. Assuming an average duration of three years for a higher education programme, we expect 15 lakh girls to be on the Scholarship in any given year.
Documents Required
  • Passport-size Photograph: Recent front-facing color photo (2x2 inch) taken within the last 6 months.
  • Aadhaar Card: Front side displaying Name, DOB, Photo, and Gender.
  • Mark Sheets: Original color-scanned copies of Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets (photocopies or online web screenshots are not accepted).
  • Proof of Admission: Bonafide certificate or tuition fee receipt with official sign/seal.
  • Bank Passbook Details: Clear scan of the first page showing account number, holder name, and IFSC code.

    Eligibility Criteria
  • Applicant must be a girl student.
  • Passed both Class 10 and Class 12 as a regular student from a government school or college in any of the eligible States or Union Territories*
  • Have taken admission in the first year (for academic session 2026–27) as a regular student of a recognised undergraduate degree or diploma course (2 to 5 years duration) at a government or a (credible and bona fide) private college or university, anywhere in India.
  • Applicable to the States or Union Territories: Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi (NCT), Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand
