WBZF Zakat Scholarship 2025
The WBZF Zakat Scholarship Fund is an initiative by the West Bengal Zakat Fund (WBZF) to provide financial assistance to economically disadvantaged Muslim students in West Bengal pursuing higher and technical education. This scholarship aims to uplift the Muslim community by enabling students to access quality education and enhance their career prospects. By offering this support, WBZF hopes to nurture talented individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society and the nation's progress. Special consideration is given to students enrolling in top institutions such as IITs, IIMs, IISC, and GLC. The financial assistance will be provided directly to educational institutions via cheque or online payments, ensuring a transparent process.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Madhyamik Admit Card Exam Result/Score Card Admission Receipt Bank Passbook Front Page Aadhaar Card Income Certificate Valid Email & Mobile Number
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: This scholarship is applicable to the state of West Bengal. Applicants belong to the Muslim community. Applicants must come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Applicants must be eligible to receive Zakat under Sharia guidelines. Applicants must have passed at least Class 10 or equivalent from a recognized board. Applicants must be pursuing higher education in professional disciplines such as Medical, Law, Journalism, and Engineering. Applicants must be enrolled in institutions recognized by UGC, AICTE, or pursuing vocational courses affiliated with NCVT. Undergo a thorough background verification to confirm merit and financial need.
