Siddique Hasan Memorial Scholarship 2025
The Human Welfare Foundation (HWF) has launched the Siddique Hassan Memorial Scholarship for the academic year 2025–26, marking the first edition of this initiative. This annual scholarship program is designed to support and nurture bright postgraduate students from socially and economically marginalized communities across India. A total of 100 meritorious students pursuing postgraduate degrees in premier national institutions will be selected for this scholarship. The program emphasizes disciplines within the Social Sciences and Humanities that contribute to social transformation and development at the grassroots level. Through this initiative, HWF aims to empower students to pursue higher education without financial constraints and to build a generation committed to social progress.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Graduation Marksheet Admission Proof (Current Year) Income Certificate Caste/Community Certificate ID Proof (Aadhaar Card) Bank Passbook Copy Passport-size Photograph
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: The scholarship is open to students belonging to socially backward sections of society. Applicants must have completed graduation from a Government (Central or State) University with at least 60% marks. Candidates should be enrolled in reputed national institutions such as IIMs, TISS, NITs, IIMC, etc., in the listed postgraduate courses. The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed 5,00,000. Selection will be based on academic performance, financial need, and an interview. Only first-year postgraduate students of the eligible disciplines can apply. The scholarship will be renewable based on satisfactory academic performance.
