The Shri Shanaishwar Foundation, Mumbai, established in 1991, is committed to uplifting students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds by providing them with financial support to pursue higher education. Founded with the blessings of the ancient Shani temple in Vikhroli, this foundation unites individuals across sectors to help academically talented yet financially struggling students access vocational and professional courses. The scholarship program, overseen by foundation trustees and key contributors like Dr. Lakshminarayan M. Parihar, aims to empower students to achieve higher education in fields such as medicine, engineering, and management.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Proof of Identity and Address: (Aadhar Card, Voter ID etc.) Caste & Income Certificate Academic Marks Sheets (SSC, PUC & Degree) Bank Passbook Valid Email & Mobile No. Rationing Card Bonafide Certificate Latest Electricity Bill (Both pages) Fees Receipt Passport-Size Photo Complete Family Photo Parent's Bank Account Statement (Last 6 months) Student's Bank Account Statement (Last 6 months) Signature of the Student
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Applicants must be residents of Maharashtra. This scholarship is open to both the genders. This scholarship is open to all categories. Applicants should be pursuing a professional or vocational course in fields such as Medical, Engineering, Computer Science, Management Science, Basic Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), Fine Arts, or related disciplines. Priority is given to students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate a clear need for financial assistance. Selection is based on academic performance, the professional course chosen, and the college of admission. Recipients must commit to developing a sense of social responsibility and community engagement.
