The Samoon Foundation Scholarship 2026 is an initiative by the Samoon Foundation, a registered NGO established under the Indian Society Act of 1860 and founded by Vinod Jethuri. The word “Samoon” originates from the Garhwali language and signifies selfless giving without expectations. The foundation works toward uplifting students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in Uttarakhand by providing financial assistance for higher education. Through a transparent and merit-cum-need-based selection process that includes academic evaluation and household verification, the foundation ensures that support reaches genuinely deserving students, helping them bridge the gap between aspirations and opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Applicants must be Indian citizens & Permanent residents of Uttarakhand. This scholarship is open to all the genders. This scholarship is open to all categories. Students from families below the poverty line are prioritized to alleviate financial barriers (BPL Card Holders). Students from a poor family background may apply for the scholarship. Applicable to students pursuing any course in various fields. This scholarship is for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in Uttarakhand. The scholarship aims to support students in their pursuit of higher education, alleviating the financial burden that often hampers their academic progress. Applicants must provide proof of their socio-economic status and academic performance.

Any student from a poor family background may apply for the scholarship from any part of Uttarakhand. The applicant must attach a BPL card copy, report card copy of the previous passing year, and the passbook front page clearly showing the bank name and account number. Approval of this scholarship form solely remains at "SAMOON FOUNDATION" discretion. All information provided in this application must be correct and if any information is found to be incorrect, the application will be considered "CANCELLED." Application submission does not guarantee a scholarship to every applicant as the final decision will be taken by the "SAMOON FOUNDATION" which will be based on the student's performance in the previous year. "SAMOON FOUNDATION" does not entertain any third-party reference in any manner and shall forfeit the application form in such cases. Applicants must adhere to and accept the decision of "SAMOON FOUNDATION" and in no way can challenge the decision if the scholarship is not granted. Applicants are liable to submit this form once a year and cannot resubmit the form in the same year if the scholarship is not approved. "SAMOON FOUNDATION" reserves the right to the details of the information provided in this application solely for their record and to prevent any unauthorized use or disclosure of personal information. Scholarship payment will be presented only via cheque payment drawn in favour of the applicant. If the applicant does not have a bank account, the cheque will be drawn in favour of the parent.
