Post Matric Scholarships For Students with Disabilities 2025
The Post-Matric Scholarships for Students with Disabilities 2025, offered by the Government of India, aims to empower students with disabilities by supporting their education beyond the matriculation level. This initiative provides financial assistance to help students overcome physical, financial, and psychological challenges that may hinder their academic journey. Launched under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), this scholarship covers students pursuing High School, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PhD degrees in any recognized institution across India or abroad. The scholarship ensures inclusivity by promoting higher education participation among differently-abled students and equipping them with the skills necessary for independent and dignified livelihoods.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Disability Certificate (40% or more) Proof of Identity (Aadhaar Card / Voter ID / Passport) Income Certificate (Issued by a competent authority) Marksheet/Certificate of Last Examination Passed Admission/Enrollment Proof from Institution Fee Receipt for Current Academic Year Bank Account Details (in student’s name) Passport-size Photograph
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: The applicant must be an Indian citizen. The student must have a disability of 40% or more, certified by a competent medical authority of the State Government or Union Territory administration. The annual family income must not exceed 2.5 lakh from all sources. Students must be enrolled in a recognized post-matriculation or post-secondary course, including high school, undergraduate, postgraduate, or PhD programs. The scholarship does not apply to certain professional or training courses listed as ineligible under scheme guidelines. Applicants must not be receiving financial assistance under any other central or state-funded scholarship scheme.
