Post Matric Scholarship For The the Wards Of Beedi LSDM Workers 2025
The Financial Assistance for Education of the Wards of Beedi, Cine, IOMC, and LSDM Workers 2025–26 is a post-matric scholarship scheme offered by the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. It aims to provide financial support to the children of workers employed in hazardous and unorganized sectors such as Beedi manufacturing, Cine industry, Iron Ore Mines, Manganese Ore Mines, Chrome Ore Mines, Limestone, and Dolomite Mines. This initiative encourages students to pursue higher education by covering a part of their academic expenses, thus discouraging child labor and promoting educational advancement. The scholarship is applicable to students studying from Class 11 up to the postgraduate level in any recognized institution across India.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Passport-size photograph Disability certificate (if applicable) Caste certificate (if applicable) Parent’s identity card (with Form B register number for mine workers) Front page of bank passbook or cancelled cheque Academic mark sheets and certificates of the last examination Income certificate issued by the Revenue Authority
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: The applicant must be an Indian citizen. The student should be enrolled in a regular course of General or Technical education (including Medical, Engineering, Agriculture) at a government-recognized institution. At least one parent of the applicant must be employed for a minimum of six months in the Beedi, Iron Ore, Manganese, Chrome Ore, Limestone, Dolomite Mines, or Cine industry. The applicant must have passed the last qualifying examination on the first attempt. The total monthly family income should not exceed 10,000 for Beedi workers and supervisory/managerial staff, and 8,000 for Cine workers. Students enrolled in correspondence or distance learning courses are not eligible. Students who have changed their academic or professional stream after completing a course are also not eligible.
