NIT Institute Merit Cum Means Scholarship 2025
The NITK Internal Scholarships 2025-26 are offered by National Institute of Technology Karnataka Surathkal (NITK) for undergraduate B.Tech students across various years and departments. These scholarships aim to support meritorious and economically disadvantaged students through merit-based and merit-cum-means financial assistance. The available scholarships include Institute Merit Cum Means Scholarship (Fresh & Renewal), Pradeep Gundappa Memorial Scholarship (Mechanical Engineering), B.R. Samaga Scholarship, Vijayakala T D Scholarship (E&E Engineering), Veeramma Rajashekaraiah Scholarship, and the 1972 Batch Alumni Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Institute Merit Cum Means Scholarship (Fresh – First Year 2025 Batch) Applicants must be first-year B.Tech students admitted in 2025. Applicants must be among the top 50 students based on JEE (Main) All India Rank. Applicants’ parental annual income must be less than 4.5 lakhs. Applicants must have secured at least 70% marks in 10+2. Students admitted under DASA, ICCR, and MEA are not eligible. Institute Merit / Merit Cum Means Scholarship (Renewal – II, III & IV Year) Applicants must have secured ≥ 9.0 CGPA for Merit Scholarship. Applicants must have secured ≥ 7.0 CGPA for Merit Cum Means Scholarship. Parental income must remain below 4.5 lakhs (for Merit Cum Means). Pradeep Gundappa Memorial Scholarship (Mechanical Engineering): Applicants must be B.Tech Mechanical Engineering students. For Fresh applicants, parental income must be ≤ 3 lakhs per annum. Applicants must have secured ≥ 70% in 10+2 and qualified through JEE (Main). For Renewal, applicants must have secured ≥ 7.0 CGPA. The scholarship amount is 2,000 per month for 8 months. B.R. Samaga Scholarship (Second Year B.Tech): Applicants must be in the second year of B.Tech. Applicants must belong to an economically disadvantaged background. Applicants must have secured ≥ 6.0 CGPA in both semesters of the first year. Only one student is selected. Scholarship amount of 10,000 is adjusted towards the mess bill. Vijayakala T D Scholarship (E&E Engineering – II/III/IV Year): Applicants must belong to the E&E Engineering Department. Applicants must be within the Top 20 in class based on CGPA. Preference is given to fourth-year students. Applicants from rural and low-income backgrounds will be considered. Only one student is selected. Veeramma Rajashekaraiah Scholarship (Second Year B.Tech): Applicants must be second-year B.Tech students residing in the NITK hostel. Applicants must belong to an economically disadvantaged background. Applicants must have secured ≥ 6.0 CGPA in the first year. The scholarship amount is adjusted towards the mess bill. 1972 Batch Alumni Scholarship (B.Tech Students): Applicants must be second or third-year B.Tech students. Applicants must not be receiving any other scholarship. Parental income must be less than 1 lakh per annum. Applicants must have secured ≥ 6.5 CGPA in the previous academic year. Two students are selected annually.
