National Scholarship For Postgraduate Studies 2025
The UGC National Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies 2025-26 is a prestigious financial aid program by the University Grants Commission (UGC) aimed at supporting meritorious Indian students in pursuing their first postgraduate degree in recognized institutions across India. Under this scheme, a total of 10,000 scholarships will be awarded, each providing 15,000 per month for 10 months in an academic year, for a duration of two years. The scholarship helps students focus on academic excellence without financial burden and is available exclusively for those enrolled in full-time regular PG programs.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Admission Proof (First Year of PG) Age Proof (DOB Certificate or Class 10 Marksheet) Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable) Bank Passbook Copy (Student’s Name) Any Other Document Required by the Institution
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: The scholarship is available only for the first PG degree program. Students who already possess a postgraduate degree are not eligible. Applicants must be admitted in the first year of a full-time, regular PG degree program in a recognized university/college/institution. For integrated courses, the scholarship is applicable only for the PG component. The applicant must be below 30 years of age at the time of admission to the PG program. Students enrolled in distance learning, correspondence, private, or part-time courses are not eligible. The PG degree pursued must be as per the UGC Notification on Specification of Degrees.
