Muslim Education Trust Scholarship 2026
The Muslim Education Trust Scholarship 2026 is a public charitable initiative founded by former IPS officer Dr. Akbar Ali Khan Alig to support students from the Muslim community in pursuing higher education and professional courses. The scholarship is designed to empower talented yet financially disadvantaged students by providing financial assistance, career guidance, and mentorship. The Trust aims to create 20,000 professionals every year across diverse fields such as IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, Engineering, Medicine, Law, CA, MBA, Journalism, and other professional disciplines. The scholarship supports students studying at reputed institutions like Aligarh Muslim University, Jamia Millia Islamia, and other recognized government and private universities in India, helping them overcome financial barriers and achieve academic and career success.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Recent Passport-sized Photograph Aadhar Card (or other valid ID proof) Income Certificate of the applicant’s family Previous Academic Marksheets and Certificates Admission Letter from the current educational institution Bonafide Certificate from the institution Bank Account Details (including a passbook copy) Career Objective Statement (if required) Proof of Community (such as a community certificate, if applicable)
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Applicants must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of West Bengal. The scholarship is open to students belonging to the Muslim community. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply. Applicants must be pursuing higher education or professional courses in India. Candidates must demonstrate genuine financial need. Students enrolled in professional courses such as Engineering, Medical, Law, CA, MBA, Journalism, Civil Services preparation, and similar disciplines are eligible. Applicants should have a strong academic background and show exceptional potential in their chosen field. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional growth through career counseling and mentorship.
