The Sanskriti – Mani Mann Fellowship is a prestigious initiative aimed at fostering and nurturing young talents in the field of Hindustani Classical Music. This fellowship is specifically designed to encourage promising young artists to advance their skills and achieve greater heights in their musical journey. By providing recipients with essential resources, mentorship, and financial support, the fellowship enables artists to fully dedicate their time and focus to their craft, ensuring the preservation and promotion of the rich heritage of Hindustani Classical Music.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents:
  • Two-page CV.
  • A write-up of approximately 500 words explaining their project.
  • Full postal and telephonic contact details along with any email ID.
  • Few samples of previous work, projects, or performances.
  • Names and contact details of two referees.

    Eligibility Criteria
    Applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • The fellowship is open to Indian nationals only.
  • Applicants must be between the age group of 25 to 40 years.
  • The program specifically encourages women applicants to apply.
  • Applicants must hold a degree or diploma in Hindustani Classical Music from a recognized university or institution.
  • Candidates should have completed at least ten years of initial training in Indian classical music.
  • The applicant must have performed 2-3 solo performances at recognized forums.
  • Candidates are required to seek guidance from a senior guru to enhance and refine their existing style.
  • The fellowship involves a three-month residency program, spread across one year.
  • Applicants must provide consent letters from their current guru as well as the guru they intend to study under.

  • The candidate should not hold another Fellowship or work on any other project simultaneously.
