Lalit Kala Akademi Scholarship 2026
The Lalit Kala Akademi Scholarship 2026 is awarded to 40 artists annually. This scholarship provides a financial support of 20,000 per month, which is offered for a duration of 12 months. The selected artists are required to work exclusively at the Regional Centres of the Akademi, located in Garhi (New Delhi), Kolkata, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar, and the Shimla camp office, which are associated with their respective states/Union Territories.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: All educational certificates. A recent passport-sized photograph. A short bio-data. Statement about the work (between 10 to 15 lines). Concept note on the proposed research work (400 words). Two reference letters, at least one from a senior artist or art teacher. Certificate of disability (for differently-abled applicants), or a caste certificate (for SC/ST or Backward Classes applicants). If applicable, published articles (1000 to 1500 words) must be submitted, along with Hindi/English translations if the article is in another language.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: This scholarship is applicable to all states. This scholarship is open to both the genders. This scholarship is open to both the categories. This is open to artists with a background or education in art. Applicants must be between 21 to 35 years as of January 1 of the year in which the application is being made. Age relaxation is not permissible. Applicants who are currently undergoing regular studies are not eligible. Applicants who are engaged in full-time employment or business are not eligible, unless they submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer, along with complete details and a proper address.
