Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Board Scholarship 2025
The Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Board Scholarship 2025–26 is a welfare initiative introduced by the Government of Kerala to support the education of children of registered motor transport workers. This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to deserving students pursuing studies from school level to professional courses. It helps ensure that no student is deprived of education due to economic challenges. Administered under the Kerala Motor Transport Workers’ Welfare Fund Act, 1985, this program promotes education, reduces financial stress on families, and encourages merit-based academic growth among children of transport workers across the state.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Aadhaar Card of Student and Worker Worker’s Membership Card Receipt of Worker’s Share Payment (October 2025) Driving License Certified Mark List of Qualifying Examination Government Merit Quota Allotment Memo (for Professional Courses) Certified Mark List of Previous Semester/Year (for Continuing Students) Employee’s DBT Consent Form Ration Card Employee’s Bank Passbook Copy Course Certificate (if not certified in the application)
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: The applicant must be the child of a registered worker under the Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund as of March 31, 2025. The student must have secured a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the qualifying examination for the applied course. The scholarship is applicable only for regular full-time courses recognized by universities, affiliated colleges, or technical institutions in Kerala. Children of workers who have retired on pension or have claimed refund benefits are not eligible. Merit at the district level will be the main criterion for scholarship selection. Applications must be submitted to the District Executive Officer within the specified deadline. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
