The Harshita Chaturvedi Merit Cum Means Scholarship 2025-26 is offered by the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal to support deserving B.Tech First-Year students belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) categories. This scholarship aims to promote academic excellence among students who face financial challenges while pursuing higher education at one of India’s leading engineering institutions. The initiative recognizes merit, need, and overall academic performance to ensure that every talented student has access to quality education.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Proof of Income (ITR for the last 2 years / Salary Slip / Income Certificate issued after 1st April 2025) Copy of Aadhaar Card Proof of Disability (for PWD applicants) Proof of War Veteran Status (if applicable) Copy of Bank Cheque Leaf / Passbook Recent Passport Size Photograph Signed Declaration Form Additional Supporting Documents (if applicable)
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: The applicant must be an Indian citizen. The scholarship is open to all genders and categories. Be enrolled in the B.Tech First Year program at NIT Karnataka, Surathkal. Belong to either the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) or PWD (Persons with Disabilities) category. Have secured a JEE Main Rank within 30,000. Have their parent’s annual income within the prescribed limits as mentioned in the application form. Maintain strong academic performance to continue receiving the scholarship in subsequent years.
