The G P Birla Educational Foundation scholarship was established by Smt. Nirmala Birla to fulfil the vision of Shri G P Birla, a renowned industrialist and philanthropist who believed in empowering the youth of India through education and skill development. It is designed to support academically bright yet financially disadvantaged students, ensuring they have the resources to pursue higher education and build successful careers.

Enabling education This scholarship is awarded to meritorious students from West Bengal and Jharkhand who have excelled in their Class XII examinations and require financial assistance to pursue their undergraduate degree courses in various disciplines. It covers fields such as Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering, Medicine, Architecture, Law and professional courses like Chartered Accountancy, Company Secretaryship, and Cost Accountancy, provided they are pursued along with an undergraduate degree course in any recognized universities and institutions across India.
The scholarship offers financial support of up to ₹60,000 per year, which helps cover tuition fees, hostel fees (where applicable), and provides a one time book grant of ₹7,000 in the first year.
