The Foundation For Excellence (FFE) is dedicated to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 4 by ensuring inclusive and high-quality education for all. FFE scholars are typically first-generation learners from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Cognizant, a global professional services leader, collaborates with FFE through the FFE-Cognizant Outreach Scholarship Program to support 100 academically gifted yet financially challenged students across India. The program provides financial aid to students pursuing Engineering, Medical, and Law degrees, helping them build successful careers and uplift their families from poverty. Beyond financial support, FFE also offers mentorship, training, and career guidance, irrespective of caste, community, gender, or religion. Eligibility is determined based on academic merit and financial need. The primary goal is to ensure education continuity, leading to 100% placement and employability.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Income Proof – Income certificate, salary slip, IT return, or parents' bank statement. Class XII Mark Sheet – Issued by SSC/ISC/CBSE or equivalent board. Entrance Exam Rank Certificate – Proof of rank obtained in qualifying exams. Counseling Letter – Issued during the seat allotment process. Fee Receipts – Academic fee receipts up to the application submission date. Aadhaar (E-KYC Verification) – Aadhaar card upload for verification. Disability Certificate – Required for differently-abled applicants. Additional Documents: Bonafide Certificate – Issued by the college confirming current enrollment. Statement of Estimated Expenses/Fee Structure – Issued by the college (self-declarations are not accepted). Parent Declaration Form – Signed confirmation from parents regarding the scholarship. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: The applicant must be an Indian citizen. The applicant must be a first-year student enrolled in BE/BTech & Integrated MTech, MBBS, or Law courses. The applicant must have completed Class XII (Higher Secondary/Pre-university/Intermediate/CBSE/ISC or equivalent) in 2022, 2023, or 2024/2025. Preference is given to students who completed their qualifying exams in 2024. Admission must be secured based on merit rank obtained in national or state-level entrance exams or through state-level counseling. Students who have been admitted to BE/BTech courses through lateral entry after completing a diploma are not eligible. Entrance Exam Rank Eligibility (AY 2025-26): For Engineering and Technology (BE/BTech): Applicants admitted to IITs, NITs, and institutions in states such as Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Odisha, Uttarakhand, and Nagaland must have a JEE (Main) General Merit Rank of 90,000 or lower. Applicants admitted to IITs based on JEE Advanced results must have a General Category Rank of 20,000 or lower. Applicants from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and Karnataka must have a state-level entrance rank of 6,000 or lower. Applicants from Kerala, Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Odisha, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, and Bihar must have a state-level entrance rank of 3,000 or lower. Applicants from Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Puducherry, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Chandigarh, and Goa must have a state-level entrance rank of 1,000 or lower. Applicants from Sikkim, Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Daman & Diu, Manipur, Mizoram, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands must have a state-level entrance rank of 500 or lower. For Medicine (MBBS): Applicants pursuing MBBS must have secured a General Merit Rank of 40,000 or lower in NEET. For Law : 5-Year Integrated Programs: BBM-LLB, BCOM-LLB, BA-LLB, BLS-LLB Applicants seeking admission through CLAT (22 NLU Colleges) or MH CET Law (Maharashtra) must have a rank of 3,000 or lower. Applicants seeking admission through Calcutta University BA LLB (West Bengal) must have a rank of 1,000 or lower. Applicants seeking admission through AP LAWCET (Andhra Pradesh) or ILSAT (ICFAI Law Schools – 4 states) must have a rank of 800 or lower. Applicants seeking admission through TS LAWCET (Telangana), KLEE (Kerala), or SLAT (Symbiosis) must have a rank of 500 or lower. Applicants seeking admission through AMU Law (Aligarh Muslim University, Uttar Pradesh) must have a rank of 200 or lower. Applicants seeking admission through RULET (Rajasthan University), LSAT India (LSAC Global), AILET (NLU Delhi), CUSAT (Cochin University), or ULSAT (UPES Dehradun) must have a rank of 150 or lower. Note: Students may apply based on entrance exams from any state, and their eligibility is not limited to their state of residence. Financial Eligibility: The applicant's annual family income must be less than INR 3 lakh per annum (LPA). The gross income considered for eligibility includes total earnings before tax deductions. Additional factors such as parents' education, occupation, family living conditions, and total educational expenses will also be taken into account. Preference is given to first-generation graduates over students whose siblings are already pursuing higher education.
