Bhumi Cognizant Scholarship 2025
The Bhumi – Cognizant Outreach Scholarship Program 2025–26 is a collaborative initiative by Bhumi, one of India’s largest youth volunteer organizations, and Cognizant Technology Solutions India Pvt. Ltd.. This program is designed to support academically bright yet financially underprivileged students across India. The scholarship offers financial assistance, mentorship, and career guidance to first-year students in pre-degree, diploma, and undergraduate programs. In the last 3 years, this program has already supported 600+ students, enabling them to continue their education and build sustainable careers. For the academic year 2025–26, the initiative continues with the aim of transforming the lives of talented students by removing financial barriers and ensuring continuity in education.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Bonafide Student Certificate showing status of enrolment in college, course/branch, year of study Copy of Aadhar Card Copy of first sheet of Bank Passbook or Canceled Cheque Counseling, Admission or Seat Allotment Letter Income Certificate, Salary Certificate, Pension Certificate or Income Tax Return and other documents, as applicable Mark Sheet for Higher Secondary (12th/PUC/Intermediate) Examination Mark Sheet for Secondary School Certificate (10th) Board Examination Parent or Guardian’s Declaration
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: The applicant must be an Indian citizen. Students must have scored at least 80% in the last qualifying examination (relaxation to 70% for orphans, single-parent households, and PwDs). Applications will be considered on a first-applied-first-served basis. Academic Eligibility: Open to first-year students in Pre-Degree, Diploma, ITI, or Undergraduate programs. Preference is given to first-generation learners (first graduates in the family). Eligible courses include (STEM & Non-STEM): Pre-Degree (MPC, BiPC, CEC, HEC) Diploma / ITI (STEM) BCA B.Sc. (Computers, IT, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Agriculture, Physiotherapy, Nursing) B.Com (General & Computers) Financial Eligibility: The applicant’s annual family income must be less than 3,00,000. Family’s occupation, education background, and living conditions will also be assessed. Entrance Exam Eligibility: Applicants must clear the Bhumi–Cognizant Scholarship Entrance Exam with a minimum of 80% marks (70% for disadvantaged categories). For Renewal: Minimum Pass% of 80% in the previous Academic Year/ Relevant final examination to be eligible for 100% scholarship amount. Students who scored Below 80% will be eligible for 80% of the scholarship amount. If any student has standing arrears, he/she will only be eligible for 50% of the scholarship with a warning. If he /she is not clearing the arrears, then they will not be eligible for the scholarship program. All the scholars are mandated to secure at least attendance 80% in the training sessions organized.
