ASEAN Doctoral Fellowship 2025
The Doctoral Fellowship in India for ASEAN 2025 is an initiative by the Government of India to promote academic collaboration and strengthen research partnerships between India and ASEAN nations. This fully funded fellowship provides outstanding scholars from ASEAN countries the opportunity to pursue PhD programs at India’s prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The program aims to enhance knowledge exchange, encourage innovation, and build long-term research connections in various fields of study. Through this fellowship, students will gain access to advanced research facilities, expert mentorship, and a vibrant academic community, making it an exceptional platform for those aspiring to make impactful contributions in science, technology, and related disciplines.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Academic transcripts Master’s degree certificate Research proposal Curriculum Vitae (CV) Passport copy Two recommendation letters Statement of purpose Proof of nationality
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Applicants must be citizens of one of the ASEAN member countries. They should hold a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field of study. Candidates must have obtained a minimum academic score of 60% or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale (or equivalent). Applicants should submit two recommendation letters from academic or professional referees. They must meet the specific admission requirements set by the IIT they wish to apply to. There is no mandatory English language certification required, but good proficiency in English is expected.
