AFE Scholarship Award Details If selected as a recipient, the student will be honored with a scholarship award of INR 50,000 per year until the completion of their graduation. Initially, up to an estimated 500 AFE Scholars will be selected, and this number may increase later. The awards are renewable each year until the student earns a bachelor's degree.

For renewal, the following conditions must be met:

The applicant must continue full-time enrollment in an eligible course of study at an accredited four-year college or university.

The student must maintain good standing with their university.

The AFE program by Amazon must continue.

In addition to the financial award, Amazon will provide AFE Scholars with valuable opportunities, including mentorship, skill-building sessions, networking events, and the chance to apply for an Amazon Internship.

It's important to note that these awards are specifically for undergraduate study.

The AFE-FFE scholarship is open to all students, with a preference for girls, without any consideration of the applicant's caste, community, or religion. The sole eligibility criteria for the program include academic performance and family income. The selection of recipients is conducted by the Foundation for Excellence.

It's crucial to note that officers or employees of Amazon Corporate LLC do not play any part in the selection process. The decisions made by the Foundation for Excellence are considered final, and all applicants agree to accept these decisions. This ensures a fair and impartial selection process for the AFE-FFE scholarship.

Online Application:
Students initiate their application for the AFE-FFE Scholarship through an online application form.

Facilitator Connection:
a. Once the student's eligibility is determined, they are connected to one of FFE's volunteer "Facilitators" across 27 states.
b. Facilitators conduct virtual meetings with prospective students or their family members to assess the genuineness of need and financial hardship.

Document Verification:
After verifying family background and academic credentials, students submit the completed application form online and all supporting documents and requirements for the AFE-FFE Scholarship program.

Essay Submission:
Shortlisted AFE-FFE scholars must submit an essay, as specified in the application form.

Reimbursement Model:
FFE's scholarship program operates on a reimbursement model. Students have already incurred expenses when applying for the scholarship, typically covering the first semester of college.

Non-Discrimination Policy:
FFE adheres to a non-discrimination policy and does not differentiate on the basis of caste, creed, or religion.

This multi-step process ensures a thorough and fair selection of AFE-FFE scholars based on genuine financial need and academic merit.

Applicants will be notified latest by March 31st, 2023. Scholarships will be awarded to the eligible scholars post-verification and selection. The selection will happen on a merit cum application basis. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Foundation for Excellence processes scholarship payments on behalf of Amazon. Payments are made in one installment before 31st March of each year.
