The Amanat Foundation Trust (AFT), established in 1994, is dedicated to empowering minorities and marginalized communities through education and skill development. With a vision to promote the holistic development of vulnerable populations in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), AFT focuses on health, education, and poverty alleviation. The foundation’s mission is to address the needs and rights of underprivileged and marginalized groups, providing them with the knowledge, skills, and awareness to lead empowered lives. The AFT STEM Scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to Indian students pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. This scholarship helps support students from low-income backgrounds in their pursuit of quality education and provides an opportunity to contribute positively to society. By offering financial support for tuition fees and other educational expenses, the scholarship empowers students to gain the knowledge needed to address real-world challenges, improve living conditions, and drive socio-economic change in their communities.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Resume/CV (including most recent transcripts). Letter/Proof of Enrollment in a STEM course. Letter of Recommendation (from a teacher or external referee, duly signed). Statement of Purpose (SOP) essay related to a STEM course taken in the past. Description of one specific event where leadership qualities were displayed (maximum 250 words). Explanation of how STEM knowledge will be used to solve societal problems and improve living conditions (maximum 250 words). Note: All required documents must be merged and uploaded in a single file.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: This is open to all Indian citizens, regardless of gender or category. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a graduate or undergraduate degree program in a STEM field at a recognized university. Applicants must meet the low-income/need-based criteria, with income verification required according to local laws. The scholarship is available to both undergraduate and graduate students pursuing STEM courses. The scholarship will be directly disbursed to the educational institution.
