The selected candidates will receive an amount per month in the following way: First year - INR 60,000 Second year - INR 60,000 plus 5% increment Third year - INR 63,000 plus 5% increment Additional benefits: The selected candidate will receive a stipend of up to INR 63,000. A contingency grant of INR 75,000 will be provided, allowing PDFs to attend conferences, subject to the availability of funds in their contingency grant. PDFs and their legal dependents will have access to free OPD facilities and medicines available in the Health Centre. Indoor hospitalization facilities will be provided in the Health Centre, if necessary. However, reimbursement facilities will not be provided. PDFs are entitled to 30 days of leave with fellowship per year. The leave can be availed on a pro-rata basis of the fellowship completed. PDFs will be granted maternity/paternity leave as per government policy. Leave of up to 6 weeks can be granted for miscarriage, including medical termination of pregnancy, if supported by a proper medical certificate. Such leave can be combined with any other leave due and will not entail any loss of financial assistance.
