The Research & Insights Intern position at Upstox offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-growing fintech company focused on making investing simple and accessible for everyone. Based in Mumbai (5 days work from office), this internship is part of the dynamic Consumer Insights Team, where interns play a key role in understanding user behavior, preferences, and feedback. In this role, the intern will engage directly with users through qualitative and quantitative research methods. Responsibilities include moderating discussions, conducting deep-dive research, scripting surveys, preparing scorecards, and managing operational research tasks. The internship provides hands-on exposure to real-world business challenges, contributing valuable consumer insights that help shape strategic decisions within the organization.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Applicants must have 2 months to 1 year of experience or internship experience in market research, particularly involving user interactions for qualitative and quantitative studies. Candidates must be graduates or expected to graduate by April 2026. Applicants should demonstrate strong conversational skills and the ability to interact confidently with users. Candidates must be fluent in English and Hindi; knowledge of any additional regional language will be considered an advantage. Applicants should be comfortable working independently and adapting to a fast-paced environment. Note: This internship is exclusively available in India. Specifically, available in Mumbai.

Responsibilities
Interns will: Call relevant target groups and invite them for research discussions. Conduct and moderate research discussions as per study objectives. Transcribe completed user sessions into Excel format. Script survey questionnaires and create survey links. Email questionnaires using CRM tools. Prepare scorecards and compile research findings. Coordinate with internal teams for inputs (databases, prototypes, etc.). Maintain research repositories and documentation logs.
