As an Intern – Mechanics & Design, you will work within the Research & Engineering teams at the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC), Bengaluru. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the design, analysis, testing, and validation of aerospace turbomachinery systems and components. Interns will contribute to impactful research projects, collaborate with world-class engineers, and gain practical experience in cutting-edge aero-engine technologies.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Candidates must be pursuing a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or Structural Dynamics. Applicants should have strong fundamentals, analytical skills, and domain knowledge. Candidates must demonstrate an execution-oriented mindset and ability to work independently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required for collaboration in a global environment. Experience or exposure to structural mechanics, dynamics, vibration, damping, or composites is preferred. Familiarity with simulation tools such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, NASTRAN, or ADAMS is desirable. Note: This internship is exclusively available in India. Specifically, in Bengalore.

Responsibilities
Interns will: Support research and engineering activities related to design, analysis, testing, and validation of aerospace components. Work on 1–2 research projects, contributing to innovative solutions for aero-engine systems. Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to develop advanced engineering technologies. Apply engineering principles in structural mechanics, dynamics, vibration, and materials. Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, and project documentation. Share research outcomes through internal reviews, written reports, and knowledge-sharing forums.
