CSIR Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute Summer Internship 2026
The Summer Internship Programme 2026 is offered by CSIR–Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR–CMERI), Durgapur. The institute invites applications from eligible B.E./B.Tech. students who will be completing their sixth semester by May/June 2026 from IITs, NITs, and other reputed engineering colleges in India. The programme is designed to provide students with practical exposure to ongoing research and development activities in emerging areas of engineering and technology. Selected interns will work closely with research groups and gain hands-on experience in live R&D projects. The internship will be conducted during the summer vacation period from May to July 2026, for a duration ranging between four to eight weeks.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Applicants must be B.E./B.Tech. students studying in a recognized College, Institute, or University. Applicants must be completing their sixth (6th) semester by May/June 2026 in the specified engineering disciplines. Applicants must have passed Class X and Class XII board examinations with satisfactory marks, preferably securing First Division/Class. Applicants must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks up to the most recently completed semester in their B.E./B.Tech. programme.
