Tower Research Capital India, a subsidiary of the New York–based high-frequency proprietary trading firm Tower Research Capital LLC, is continuously enhancing its in-house trading systems that power its leadership in quantitative trading. As a Core Engineering Intern, you will work alongside exceptional engineers to solve complex, real-world engineering challenges. This role offers exposure to highly scalable, high-performance systems that support critical middle-office and back-office trading operations.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Candidates must be currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a closely related field. Applicants should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, a solid foundation in data structures and algorithms, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Good English communication skills are required. Technical Skills Required: Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms. Proficiency in Python and Java. Knowledge of Linux systems and shell scripting. Working knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL). Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and ElasticSearch (preferred). Note: This internship is exclusively available in India. Specifically, available in Gurgaon.

Responsibilities
Interns will: Contribute to post-trade platform tools including reference data management, trade capture, reconciliation, P&L, trade cost management, surveillance, compliance, and regulatory systems. Work with stakeholders to gather and define user requirements for new features. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop reliable, scalable, and high-performance software systems. Drive technological innovation in the development of next-generation middle-office and back-office applications and processes.
