Punjab National Bank Education Loan
PNB Education Loans provide financial support to individuals pursuing higher education in India or abroad. Repayment begins after completing the education, with a grace period of 6 months provided to secure a job. Students have the option to choose their repayment method, whether to start during the moratorium period or after. The moratorium period includes the duration of education plus an additional 6 months to 1 year. Interest starts accruing from the time of fund dispersal, leading to a significant repayment amount upon graduation. Parents or guardians can opt to pay simple interest during the moratorium period to reduce the loan amount at graduation.
Documents Required
  • Passport size photograph
  • Proof of Address
  • Proof of Age
  • Copy of PAN of student Borrower
  • Proof of having cleared last qualifying examination
  • Letter of admission
  • Prospectus of the course wherein charges like Admission Fee, Examination Fee, Hostel Charges etc. are mentioned
  • Details of Assets & Liabilities of parents/co-obligants/guarantors
  • In case loan is to be collaterally secured by mortgage of IP, copy of Title Deed, Valuation Certificate and Non-encumbrance Certificate from approved Lawyer of the Bank be obtained at the cost of the borrower.
  • Photocopy of Passport & Visa in case of study abroad
  • Any other document/information, depending upon the case and purpose of the loan.

    Eligibility Criteria
  • Applicants must be an Indian Resident.
  • Applicant should have secured admission with the educational institution in India or Abroad.
  • Approved courses leading to Graduate/Post Graduate degree and PG Diplomas conducted by recognized colleges/universities recognized by UGC/Govt./AICTE/AIBMS/ICMR, etc.
  • Courses like ICWA, CA, CFA, etc.
  • Courses conducted by IIMs, IITs, IISc, XLRI, NIFT, NID, etc.
  • Regular Degree/Diploma courses like Aeronautical, pilot training, shipping, Nursing, or any other discipline approved by the Director General of Civil Aviation/Shipping/State Nursing Council, or any other regulatory body, if pursued in India.
  • Part-time courses and job-oriented courses are also eligible, subject to employability and earning potential.
