Goa Interest Free Education Loan
The Interest Free Education Loan (IFEL) Scheme aims to promote higher education and technical education among the youth of Goa by providing interest-free loans to eligible candidates. The scheme ensures that financial constraints do not hinder the pursuit of approved degree and diploma courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, whether in India or abroad.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Fresh Application Form Renewal Application Form (Previous year applicants) Aadhaar Consent Form Proof of Admission (for the course) Power of Attorney (for students abroad) Affidavit (for non-working parents, if applicable) Bond Formats based on loan amount (up to 5 Lakhs, above 5 Lakhs, or for cases involving study abroad) Note: Submit the completed form along with all required documents at the Goa Education Development Corporation (GEDC) office between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on working days.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Applicants must be permanent residents of Goa. The scheme is available for students enrolled or intending to enroll in approved degree and diploma courses. The loan aims to support students facing financial difficulties in pursuing higher education. For students studying abroad, the parent (acting as the Power of Attorney holder) may submit the application on their behalf.
