Vyasakabi Fakirmohan Bhasabruti Scholarship Scheme
The Odisha Vyasakabi Fakirmohan Bhasabruti Scheme 2025, launched by the Odisha Higher Education Department, aims to support students pursuing higher education in the Odia language. This scheme provides financial assistance to students enrolled in Plus 3 (Odia - Honors) and M.A. (Odia) programs. Through this initiative, the government encourages academic excellence in Odia, ensuring students have access to necessary resources for their education. Eligible undergraduate (UG) students receive a one-time scholarship of Rs. 20,000, while postgraduate (PG) students are granted Rs. 30,000.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Aadhaar Card. Residence Certificate. Copy of the bank passbook (showing account number and IFSC code). Passport-size photograph. College ID card. Marksheet of the last exam passed.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: The scheme is open to students from all categories, including General, SC, ST, OBC, SEBC, and EBC. Undergraduate (UG) applicants must be enrolled in a Plus 3 (Odia - Honors) program and have secured a minimum of 70% marks in their Plus 2 examination. Postgraduate (PG) applicants must be pursuing an M.A. (Odia) degree and should have obtained at least 60% marks in Odia (Honors) during their Plus 3 program. The applicant must be a resident of Odisha and possess valid residence proof. Students can avail of this scholarship only once during their academic journey. Applicants are eligible to apply for this scholarship even if they have applied for or availed of other departmental schemes.
