The JC Bose Fellowship, offered by the Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB) India, invites applications from active scientists and science academics. This fellowship aims to recognize and reward the outstanding performance of active scientists.

    Eligibility Criteria
  • Open to active scientists with outstanding performance, evidenced by fellowship from science academies and/or the SS Bhatnagar prize.
  • Upper age limit for nomination: 68 years.
  • The candidate must hold a regular position in an Institute/Organization and engage in research at the time of nomination.
  • The candidate must be Indian and working in an Indian institution.

  • Overhead of INR 1 lakh per annum to the host institute.

  • Nominations accepted from Heads of Institutions, JC Bose Fellows, and Presidents of National science academies.
    • Nominations are received throughout the year.
    Selection
  • Periodic selection (normally twice a year) by a Search-cum-Selection Committee specially constituted for the purpose.
  • Selection based on the broad guidelines of the fellowship scheme.
