Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana Scheme 2024
The Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana is an initiative by the Directorate of Tribal Welfare in Goa aimed at providing financial assistance to Scheduled Tribe (ST) students. The primary objectives of this scheme are to support students in meeting their educational expenses, particularly in food and travel, as a supplementary benefit to the Post Matric Scholarship. Additionally, it offers increased financial aid for ST students with disabilities, ensuring they have the necessary resources to pursue their education.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Passport Size Photograph Mark Sheet/Passing Certificate from the previous year (self-attested) Income Certificate (current year, issued by a competent authority) Scheduled Tribes Certificate (self-attested) Hostel Fee Receipt (if applicable) Current Year Admission Fee Receipt Bank Pass Book (self-attested, linked with Aadhaar) Aadhaar Card (self-attested) Aadhaar Consent Form (verified by a recognized institution) Disability Certificate (for applicants with disabilities, issued by a competent authority) For Renewal: Mark Sheet/Passing Certificate from the preceding academic year (self-attested). Income Certificate from a competent authority (current year). Hostel Fees Receipt (for hostellers). Current Year Admission Fees Receipt. Disability Certificate (for PwD students, issued by competent authority). Bank Pass Book (self-attested, seeded with Aadhaar).
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Applicants must be eligible for this scholarship in the current academic year. The student must belong to the Scheduled Tribes community in the State of Goa. The annual income of the student's parents or guardians should not exceed 5.00 lakh. The student must be a regular, full-time student enrolled in a recognized institution or university. This scholar The scholarship is available for only one academic year. If a student is required to repeat a class, they will not be eligible for the scholarship again in that same class.
