Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Scholarship 2025
The Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna, launched by the Government of Maharashtra, aims to provide financial assistance to economically weaker students pursuing professional courses. This scholarship is designed to ease the financial burden of students from low-income families by offering monetary support for accommodation expenses. Eligible students can receive financial aid of up to 30,000 for a duration of 10 months, depending on their family's income and the location of their institution. The initiative ensures that deserving students can continue their education without financial constraints.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Domicile Certificate Registered Laborer Certificate/Alpabhudharak Certificate Family Annual Income Certificate Hostel Document CAP-related Document (if applicable) Attendance Certificate Previous Year’s Marksheet Gap-related Document (if applicable) Family Declaration Certificate for Two Children
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: The applicant must be a domicile of Maharashtra. The applicant must be a child of a registered laborer or an Alpabhudharak (marginal landholder). The applicant must be enrolled in a professional course at a government, non-government aided, partially aided-unaided, or permanently unaided college, or a non-agricultural university or sub-center. The student must have secured admission under the general category. The applicant must be a hosteller, residing in a government/private hostel, paying guest accommodation, or as a tenant. The applicant's annual family income must be less than 8,00,000. The student must have attempted all semester/annual exams and maintained good academic standing. The applicant must not be availing of any other Nirvah Bhatta benefits. There must not be a gap of more than two years during the course.

As an students, you will receive: 30,000 for students enrolled in institutes located in MMRDA, PMRDA, Aurangabad City, or Nagpur City (for students from a registered laborer/Alpabhudharak family). 20,000 for students in institutes located in other areas (for students from a registered laborer/Alpabhudharak family). 10,000 for students in institutes located in MMRDA, PMRDA, Aurangabad City, or Nagpur City (for students with an annual family income up to 1,00,000). 8,000 for students in institutes located in other areas (for students with an annual family income up to 1,00,000). 10,000 for students in institutes located in MMRDA, PMRDA, Aurangabad City, or Nagpur City (for students with an annual family income between 1,00,000 and 8,00,000). 8,000 for students in institutes located in other areas (for students with an annual family income between 1,00,000 and 8,00,000).
