Bhumi Cognizant Scholarship Program
The Bhumi - Cognizant Scholarship Program supports academically talented yet financially disadvantaged students across India, offering assistance from pre-graduation to graduation. With the aim of fostering sustainable livelihoods, the program provides financial aid and other support to over 500 students annually. Its goal is to ensure uninterrupted education and ultimately achieve 100% placement for the beneficiaries.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Bhumi-Cognizant Outreach Scholarship Program, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements. It is imperative that applicants are Indian citizens. First-Year Students: Individuals enrolled in the first year of Pre-degree, Diploma, or Undergraduate programs, including 11th/PUC 1st year/Inter 1st year/Junior college 1st year or UG 1st year. These programs cover a wide range of courses. Pre-Degree Courses: MPC (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) BiPC (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) CEC (Commerce, Economics, Civics) HEC (Humanities, Economics, Civics) Diploma/ITI (STEM):Three-year programs in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Undergraduate Programs:Various three-year courses categorized into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and Non-STEM fields Score Requirements:
Applicants must have attained a minimum score of 80% in their final examinations conducted in respective locations. For students facing challenging circumstances such as being parentless, single-parented, or persons with disabilities (PWDs), a relaxation in the percentage requirement is offered, lowering it to 70%. Additionally, candidates need to clear the Bhumi-Cognizant Outreach Scholarship Entrance Exam with a minimum score of 80%. Similar to the academic score, a relaxation to 70% is extended for those facing challenging circumstances. Financial Eligibility: The financial eligibility of applicants is determined by various factors including the gross family income, the educational and occupational background of parents and family members, living conditions, and the overall expenses incurred by the family for the applicant's education. To qualify, the annual family income should not exceed INR 3 LPA (Indian Rupees Three Lakhs per Annum). It's important to note that gross income refers to income before any deductions for taxes or other purposes. Verification And Selection Process
Existing Cognizant Scholarship Beneficiaries Validating the Fee Requirement Compliance with the relevant renewal criteria New Cognizant beneficiaries Entrance test Verifying the Familial/Gender/Disability status, Academic Eligibility Home Visits Selection Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance and financial needs. Bright and deserving students with financially constrained backgrounds who performed exceptionally well at state and national level entrance exams are eligible for scholarship. While the Bhumi -Cognizant Outreach Scholarship Program’s main focus is providing financial support for qualified students, our assistance extends beyond finances and includes training, mentorship and assistance for internship & placements. This assistance is available to all the selected scholars in the form of a curated series of soft skills and technical skills training programs, from 1st year onwards empowering scholars with skills and aptitude for their professional journey.
Disbursement And Renewals
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive financial assistance in the form of scholarships until graduation. Awards are renewable each year until a bachelor’s degree is earned. Renewal is contingent upon the applicant continuing full-time enrollment in an eligible course of study at an accredited college or university, maintaining a good standing with their university and continuation of the program by Cognizant. Minimum Pass% of 80% in the previous Academic Year/ Relevant final examination to be eligible for 100% scholarship amount Students who scored Below 80% will be eligible for 80% of the scholarship amount If any student has standing arrears, he/she will only be eligible for 50% of the scholarship with a warning. If he /she is not clearing the arrears, then they will not be eligible for the scholarship program. All the scholars are mandated to secure at least attendance 80% in the training sessions organized
