The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2024 aims to support meritorious students from economically weaker sections by providing financial assistance for higher education. This initiative is designed to offer opportunities for academic advancement and improve employment prospects for students pursuing technical, vocational, and degree courses across India. The scheme includes General Scholarships and a Special Scholarship for Girl Child, ensuring inclusive support.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Applicants must be Indian citizens. This scholarship is exclusively open to both the genders. This scholarship is exclusively open to all categories. General Scholarship: After Class 12 (XII): Passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with at least 60% marks in 2021-22, 2022-23, or 2023-24. Enrolled in the first year of higher education (e.g., Medicine, Engineering, Graduation, Vocational/Diploma, ITI) for the academic year 2024-25. Annual family income not exceeding 2,50,000 (relaxation to 4,00,000 for certain cases). After Class 10 (X): Passed Class 10 with at least 60% marks in 2021-22, 2022-23, or 2023-24. Enrolled in the first year of Vocational/Diploma or ITI courses for 2024-25. Annual family income not exceeding 2,50,000 (relaxation applicable). Special Scholarship for Girl Child: Passed Class 10 with at least 60% marks in 2021-22, 2022-23, or 2023-24. Enrolled in higher studies (Intermediate/10+2 pattern, Vocational, Diploma, or ITI courses) for two years in 2024-25. Annual family income not exceeding 2,50,000 (relaxation applicable). Conditions for Scholarship: Continuity Requirements: Medical/Engineering streams: Maintain at least 55% marks. Graduation and other courses: Maintain at least 50% marks. Girl Child Scholarship: Maintain at least 50% marks. Additional Criteria: Preference to students with lower family incomes in case of a tie. Scholarships are not applicable for part-time, correspondence, or self-study courses (e.g., CA, ICWA). One scholarship per family, with exceptions for female applicants.

General Scholarship: Medicine Courses: 40,000 per annum (two installments of 20,000 each). Engineering Courses: 30,000 per annum (two installments of 15,000 each). Graduation, Integrated Courses, Vocational Training, and ITI: 20,000 per annum (two installments of 10,000 each). Special Scholarship for Girl Child: 15,000 per annum for higher studies after Class 10 (two installments of 7,500 each).
