As part of the GE Vernova, Grid Automation R&D team, you will play a pivotal role in developing advanced control and automation systems essential for modernizing the power grid. This transformation involves state-of-the-art technologies, including multi-core SoC processors, Yocto Linux, cloud-native software, 5G, model-to-code tools, and AI/ML. You will work in a lean-agile product development environment and interact with a global R&D team to create products that drive the energy transition.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Education: B.Tech, M.Tech/M.E final year student from reputed institutes (IIT/NIT/BITS/Other reputed institutes) in Computer Science, Power Systems, Instrumentation, Electronics, Communications, or related streams. Academic Excellence: Demonstrated consistent and strong academic credentials. Passion for Engineering: Strong technical aptitude and an analytic approach to problem-solving. Programming Skills: Proficiency in C, C++, Java, Python, and scripting languages on Windows & Linux. Database Knowledge: Understanding of relational and non-relational databases. Analytical Abilities: Strong mathematical, analytical, and logical abilities for effective problem-solving. Problem Solving: Ability to generate multiple alternative solutions, evaluate pros and cons, and justify the best solution. Technical Skills: Strong root causing, troubleshooting, and debugging skills. Application Development: Understanding of desktop, web, and cloud-based application development and deployment. Microservices Architecture: Awareness of microservices architecture and related tools. Virtualization: Hands-on experience with hypervisors, virtual machines, containers, Dockers, and related tools. Cybersecurity: Experience with secure application development and cybersecurity tools and life cycle. AI & ML: Expertise in AI & ML frameworks and tools. Equipment Handling: Experience with secondary injection relay test kits, protocol analyzers, simulators, MATLAB, LabVIEW, etc. Testing: Understanding of testing philosophy and methodologies, test tools, and test automation techniques. Learning Ability: Quick learner with the ability to understand the scope of work through self-learning and resource seeking. Communication Skills: Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. Power Systems: Understanding of power system concepts is an added advantage. Team Player: Ability to interact with all required stakeholders effectively. Desired Skills: Experience: Prior experience in relevant areas of power systems and programming through internships, projects, training, or certifications. Volunteering: Experience in broader community activities or projects. Industrial Automation: Understanding of industrial automation tools such as PLC programming. Communication Protocols: Understanding of TCP/IP communication stack and related communication protocols. Automation Protocols: Knowledge of industrial and substation automation protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, IEC 60870, IEC 61850, etc. Note: This internship is exclusively available in India. Specifically, in Hyderabad (Telangana).
