As an Edison Intern – Power Electronics, you will play a crucial role in advancing the design, modelling, analysis, and control of advanced electrical power conversion systems. Your work will contribute to the development of innovative power electronics topologies, focusing on high power density, cost-effectiveness, quality, and performance. This internship provides hands-on experience, allowing you to collaborate with GE Aerospace and the Advanced Research Centre technologists, contributing to the future of flight while upholding sustainability, safety, and quality. This paid internship typically lasts up to 6 months or until the completion of your Master's degree, with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time employment based on performance, mutual interests, and business/program needs.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Pursuing a Master's in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Electronics Converter and Control or Electronics. Fundamental knowledge in Electrical Engineering, power electronics, magnetics for power converters, and motor controls. Expertise in simulating and analyzing electrical and electromechanical systems. Understanding of power devices, EMI/EMC, and electronics packaging. Hands-on experience in PCB design, hardware design, and building power circuits and systems. Proficiency in circuit and system simulation tools like PLECS, Saber, and Matlab/Simulink. Experience in FPGA/Microcontroller programming. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Desired Characteristics: Research experience in Power Electronics and Control, EMI modelling, wireless power transfer, or magnetics for power converters. Advanced simulation skills and programming experience in FPGA/Microcontrollers. Note: This internship is exclusively available in India, Specifically, in Bangalore (Karnataka).

Responsibilities
As an intern, you will: Apply knowledge of power electronics and electrical systems to simulate and analyze models for aircraft power distribution, hybrid electric propulsion, and more electric propulsion systems. Design, develop, and implement power converters, control systems, FPGA/DSP for hybrid electric/more electric applications. Conduct research involving the modelling and simulation of components and circuits, and test lab-scale prototypes. Develop advanced controls for electrical systems and implement them in hardware using FPGA and microcontrollers. Participate in technical projects and collaborate with a team to drive innovation.
