John Locke Institute Essay Competition 2025
The John Locke Institute Essay Competition 2025 is now open for registrations! This prestigious global essay contest encourages students to showcase their critical thinking, persuasive writing, and analytical skills beyond standard school curricula. Participants explore thought-provoking questions across diverse academic disciplines, with essays judged by senior academics from top institutions such as Oxford and Princeton, led by Prof. Terence Kealey.
Essays are accepted in seven subject categories: Philosophy, Politics, Economics, History, Psychology, Theology, and Law, along with a Junior Prize category for younger students. The competition provides an excellent platform for students to develop their writing abilities and gain recognition from leading scholars.

Eligibility Criteria
  • This is open to students from all countries.
  • Participants must be 18 years old or younger as of June 30, 2025.
  • For the Junior Prize, participants must be 14 years old or younger on the same date.
