The Martha Galvez Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Martha Galvez, a dedicated nurse and passionate advocate for the nursing profession in Washington State. With over 27 years of experience as a registered nurse, she played a vital role in the delivery of nearly 3,000 babies in Tri-Cities, WA. Her inspiring journey was tragically cut short in August 2021 when she was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Despite her illness, Martha remained committed to living life to the fullest and continued to inspire those around her until her peaceful passing in January 2022. This scholarship aims to support hardworking and motivated students who aspire to make a meaningful impact in the field of nursing.
