The Furman University Presidential Music Scholars program recognizes exceptionally talented student musicians who demonstrate high academic achievement. This prestigious scholarship is open to high school seniors applying to Furman University, allowing them to submit either a recorded audition or audition in person. Recipients of the scholarship may major in any discipline, and they receive priority access to music class registration, applied music instruction, and ensemble participation.
Presidential Music Scholars are eligible for this award in addition to other financial aid, such as the Bell Tower Scholarships (merit-based) and need-based financial aid. The scholarship is renewable and is determined based on the quality of the audition and the music program’s core needs, supporting students in excelling in their musical pursuits while achieving academic success.
