D K Bhave Scholarship 2025
The D. K. Bhave Scholarship, established by Savitribai Phule Pune University, aims to support meritorious engineering graduates who have secured confirmed admission to a Master’s degree program in Engineering and Technology at an accredited university in USA, Canada, Germany, or England. This scholarship was initiated to honor Damodar Krishna Bhave, who himself pursued higher education abroad despite financial difficulties. The scholarship encourages students to return to India after completing their studies and contribute to the country's technological and economic development.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Duly signed application form Recommendation letter from the Director/Principal of the college Statement of Purpose (SOP) with the applicant’s signature Confirmed Admission Letter from the university Final year B.E./B.Tech. mark sheet (or 7th semester mark sheet if the final is unavailable) Copy of Passport, PAN card, and Aadhaar card Permanent address proof (electricity bill/telephone bill) Aadhaar card of one parent Detailed address proof of parents Certificates of academic achievements or competition participation I-20 form (if available)
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: The applicant must be a graduate (B.E./B.Tech.) or a final-year student from the Engineering Faculty of Savitribai Phule Pune University. The applicant’s institute must be NBA-accredited and located within the PMC and PCMC areas. The applicant must have secured confirmed admission on merit to a Master’s degree in Engineering and Technology in a foreign accredited university in USA, Canada, Germany, or England. Students who are already enrolled in a Master’s program abroad are not eligible for this scholarship. The scholarship is awarded with the expectation that the recipient will return to India after completing their Master’s and contribute to India's global competitiveness.
